The Itinerary:
This 4-day, 3-night journey will have you experiencing Cuba without ever leaving the United States. Though you will not be leaving the country, you will be exploring an area (Ybor) that is known as Tampa’s Latin Quarter. You’ll find there’s an exotic blend of aromas, flavors, sights, and sounds. From the scent of roasting Cuban coffee in the morning to the rhythms of Latin music at night, Ybor is a feast for the senses!
Day 1: The adventure begins when you head to the airport for a non-stop flight to Tampa, Florida. Once the plane lands and all baggage is claimed, we will check-in to the hotel and freshen up for dinner. Tonight, dinner will be at Whiskey Joe’s. Then, it’s back to the hotel for a relaxing, and hopefully restful night. (D)
Day 2: Today, we delve deep into the culture and history of Ybor. The day begins with a guided walking tour of Ybor. This tour will bring you to a cigar factory and the City State Museum. This afternoon, we head back to the hotel to freshen up before going for an authentic Cuban dinner as well as an intriguing Flamenco show. (B, D)
Day 3: Our day will consist of more explorations of culture and history. Enjoy a self-guided tour (with audio handsets) of the Henry Plant Museum which is housed in the 1891 Tampa Bay Hotel. Get warmed through and through as you tour and taste at the Tampa Bay Rum Company. This evening, we enjoy a dinner cruise that will have you dancing (or at least entertained) well into the night. (B, D)
Day 4: Start the day with a tour and coffee at the El Molino Coffee Shop. Then, embark on a foodie tour that will have you tasting the culture. This afternoon, we have some free-time before our flight home. (B)
