The Itinerary:

This 3-day, 2-night excursion will give your senses a taste of some of the things that the Cape has to offer.  From boats to trains to the food and more, you are bound to find something that just may make you say “wow!”

Day 1:  Our journey begins as we make our way to the Cape Cod Creamery where you will enjoy homemade ice cream with flavor names specific to Cape Cod.  Then, the coach will bring us to the nearby Main Street in Hyannis where you can wander through all of the shops, dine at a restaurant, or just relax.  It’s your free-time, spend it how you want.  This evening, meet the group at Fresh Ketch for dinner.  After dinner, set sail with Hy-line Cruises for a sunset cruise (hopefully mother nature cooperates and allows for a spectacular viewing).  After a long but exciting day, check into the hotel.  (D)

Day 2:  Today begins with breakfast at the hotel.  Then, enjoy a bit more free-time before heading to the Cape Cod Central Railroad.  After, it’s “all aboard” for a classic Cape Cod train ride. This journey will bring passengers up close and personal to nature with a behind-the-scenes tour showcasing some of the natural beauty of the Cape including:  woodlands, sand dunes, cranberry bogs, salt marshes, and the famous Cape Cod Canal.  The onboard narration adds another dimension to the ride, keeping guests informed and entertained throughout the duration.  While onboard, each guest will receive a boxed lunch to eat at their leisure during the train ride.  This afternoon, learn about the potato chip making process at the Cape Cod Chip Factory.  This will be a self-guided tour.  After, make sure you have your sweet tooth with you as we will visit the Cape Cod Candy Company and Cape Cod Taffy.  If you aren’t into buying sweets for yourself, perhaps there is someone at home who would like to receive a sugary gift.  This evening, we will dine at one of the local favorites which is always a popular choice among tourists and locals alike.  Then, it’s back to the hotel.  (B, L, D)

Day 3:  Our day will consist of exploring more things that are Cape Cod before heading home.  Breakfast this morning will be at the Cape Cod Coffee Roasting Company.  While here, participate in a guided tour of the facility.  Then, we head to Flax Pond Farm for an informative bog tour where we will learn about growing and harvesting cranberries.  Then, unfortunately it’s back on the road and homeward bound.  En route to home, we will stop for a mid-afternoon lunch.  (B, L)
